Grilled Marinated Tofu

This super simple grilled tofu is a great addition to any number of dishes. Serve it on top of some rice with some grilled or steamed veggies , chili sauce and a 7-minute egg for a quick delicious rice bowl or fold it into a lightly grilled corn tortilla with some avocado and salsa for a delicious vegetarian taco.

Ingredients:

  • 15.5 ounces extra firm tofu

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil

  • 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar

  • 2 tsp. honey

  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced

  • 1 tsp. fresh ginger, peeled and minced

Directions:

Place tofu in a large shallow baking dish. Whisk soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, and ginger in a medium bowl, then pour over tofu and turn to cover. Let sit for 15 minutes, then flip tofu over and let sit an additional 15 minutes.

Heat grill to high heat. Transfer tofu to grill and cook until seared and slightly crispy, about 2 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional two minutes. Remove from heat.
